The Idemili North Local Government secretariat in Ogidi, as well as a Magistrate Court in the area, have been set on fire by gunmen.

According to sources, the arsonists entered the secretariat on Sunday night to continue the act, burning all files, goods, including the secretariat building and cars.

The State Police Command has also acknowledged the incident, blaming it on unknown arsonists.
“Yes, the event was confirmed, and our guys were there to restore normalcy,” said DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, a spokeswoman for the State Police Command.
“At this time, the fire has been put out, and the situation has returned to normal,” Ikenga informed a Daily Post writer.
