Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP, have been terrorizing the north-eastern states of Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa through Ansaru.

It will be noted that residents of Birnin-Gwari, a Kaduna State town continuously targeted by Ansaru terrorists, voiced an identical concern a few weeks earlier, pleading with both the federal and state governments to reach out for help.

The governor said that the increasing existence of Ansaru and Boko Haram terrorists with in region, as well as their increasing involvement with armed terrorists, are responsible for the violence on the Abuja-Kadunan headed train on March 28, which culminated in the abduction of the travellers still held captive.

Terrorists are migrating from the north-east to the north-west, according to him, and are still enrolling young folks in weak neighborhoods from across state.

l-Rufai voiced alarm about terrorists’ use of explosives devices, or IEDs, and advocated for the formation of an army theater control in the area.
